Imperfecto

About a year ago, my wife and I visited Imperfecto for its tasting menu experience just before they received their Michelin star distinction. Our evening was filled with wonderful dishes and an intimate atmosphere, making the night unforgettable. When we heard the restaurant had received a Michelin star a few months later, we were not surprised.

Our evening began with a menu tour, including à la carte dishes and the tasting menu option. We decided on the tasting menu and soon after received our first dish: mussels on toast. It was an elegant dish with diverse flavors from the herbs and other toppings. Moving on to the appetizer courses, we were served the salmon tartare. The salmon was fresh, and while the dish was simple, it packed a lot of flavor. The final appetizer course was a fried cauliflower dish with a smoky cream sauce. This hearty dish was a great way to conclude the appetizer courses.

For the first entrée dish, we enjoyed crispy skin cod accompanied by a delicious sauce. This unique flavor combination was a great introduction to the entrée courses. The last entrée course was my favorite dish of the whole night: rabbit paella. Adding rabbit to paella might seem unusual, but it was excellent. This was my first time trying rabbit, and it did not disappoint. It was tender and flavorful, and with the other elements of the paella, it was complex and tasty. We were stuffed by the end of this but had to power through for the dessert course.

Our dessert course was an elevated éclair that included edible gold leaf and cream sauce on top. It was a wonderful way to conclude the evening.

Imperfecto, with its elevated cuisine, rose to the occasion of a Michelin star. Its dishes were well-cooked, tasted great, and provided unique twists on the classics. I recommend it for your next date night, and you can check out my photos of our dishes in the Restaurant Gallery section.
